What is the Art of Wood NZ?
Art of Wood is New Zealand's leading annual, nationwide wood art competition and exhibition, dedicated to celebrating the talent and creativity of New Zealand's wood artists, makers, and craftspeople.
Whether you make things from wood or simply love what can be made from it, there is something here for you. The competition is open to all skill levels, amateur and professional alike. Each year, makers from across the country enter their finest work to be showcased, appreciated, and where they choose, offered for sale to people who know its worth.
Organised by the National Association of Woodworkers NZ Incorporated, the exhibition provides a platform to promote, foster and encourage excellence in wood art and craft, from traditional techniques to contemporary interpretations.
